Intercultural Conflict and Dialogue – Overview
The aim of our research will be to:
- To undertake innovative research on transnational digital networks, where intercultural conflict becomes manifest and is propagated, with particular emphasis on the digital process, practices and mediums through which conflict can be negotiated and rearticulated in order to produce dialogue and cooperation.
- To identify gender relations within those transnational digital spaces, with particular emphasis on the racialisation of gender relations within diasporas and between migrant communities and host societies.
- To explore policy and theoretical perspectives through which intercultural conflict in transnational digital networks can be understood as a process of exchange and can be creatively used towards meeting the needs and demands of migrant groups and individuals, but also the purpose of cultural diversity in European societies.
